essay 8: Exit

The cave theory I believe is the reflection of the way people with low class live in the united states, because some people live chained, the government only let us know what they want us to know, and that the only way that we can get out of the cave is by having a better social status.

First of all I would like to talk about the people that immigrates to this country and have no immigration status , I think they are one of the millions that represents the theory of the cave in this country. As everybody knows they are millions of people that come to this country trying to look for a better life and that they suffer a lot on their way on top of that when they get to this country they have to face the new reality which is becoming an alien .I think everybody in this country knows that this is happening, but they are acting like they don’t know it is .the life of an immigrant it is really hard immigrants have to do jobs that other people don’t want to do and the pay is not good sometimes they don’t even get pay the minimum wage which is unfair. They only get to hear and see whatever is left they don’t have a voice in this country if they would be in the Socrates cave they would be chained there is nothing that they can do or complain about nobody will listen to them. The only way that this problem can be resolved is by making everybody have immigration status so they can be free.

Now in days people are still wondering what really happened during the 9/11 attack most of the people in this country don’t know why we still having a war in another country they just know is happening. The government trough the media let us know a part of the story, but we all know that can be a lie, and that sometimes the government let us know what they think we should now this is the same thing that Plato was talking about in “the cave” when the slaves could only see the shadows of the real things and they only could hear the echo of the sound . This is something that only people in the low class have to deal with the people above us they are able to get the truth, and this is because their social status.

It is sad to know the reality of some people in this country and how Plato’s was right about his theory. in my opinion the only way for people to get out of the cave is by going to school and be more educated this will lead them to have a better social status . In this country the only way for people to be more close to the truth is by being somebody better in their life’s the money and education is what actually make the people in this country move, but that’s our reality so if a person wants to be somebody in this country this is the only way to do it.

In conclusion, the Socrates cave represents well the type of life that people with low class , not immigration status ,and not educated live in this country.
